Job Title

PACU RN - Day/Night Rotating

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Day/Night Rotating Shift | Up to 2 Weekend Shifts per Month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and neurological status in the immediate post-operative period
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• Minimum of 1 year of travel PACU experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Academic Medical Center setting
• Ability to work a 50% day/night rotating schedule including weekend shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPAN or CAPA certification
• Experience with high-acuity or complex surgical patient populations
