Job Description
Title: Senior Controls Engineer
\nLocation: East Coast region
\n \nThis is an opportunity to join a F&B manufacturing operation in the middle of significant growth and expansion. You’ll have direct influence over controls strategy, automation performance, equipment reliability, and future production capabilities .
\n \nWhat You’ll Do:
\n✅ Design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion controls, VFDs, instrumentation, industrial networks, and data collection systems
\n✅ Develop and standardize control architecture, electrical designs, programming standards, and components across processing, filling, packaging, and material-handling systems
\n✅ Partner with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot complex controls and electrical issues , perform root-cause analysis, and minimize downtime
\n✅ Lead controls upgrades, automation improvements, equipment installations, startups, and commissioning
\n✅ Coordinate electricians, contractors, project schedules, budgets, and equipment implementation
\n✅ Train Maintenance and Operations teams on controls systems, troubleshooting, and equipment functionality
\n \nWhat We’re Looking For:
\n• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline
\n• 5+ years of Controls/Electrical Engineering experience
\n• Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and/or Siemens
\n• Experience with B&R, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, motion control, instrumentation, and industrial networks is highly valuable
\n• Food, beverage, pharma or high-speed manufacturing experience preferred
\n• Startup, commissioning, and equipment installation experience highly desirable
