Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the of all Bexar County in Texas. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, tree and brush removal, pothole repair, heavy equipment operations, and etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.Technicians will report to project yard located in Adkins, TX.Required Experience:Minimum 0-2 years of related experience in maintenance, repair, or installation of Guardrail, Cable rail, or Crash CushionRoadway or tollway maintenance experienceConcrete form work, concrete placement, and repairsWheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, etc operatorResponsibilities: Work as a part of a team performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance. MUST be flexible and able to work on-call and nights when necessary. Highway maintenance tasks include, but not limited to:Tree and brush removalPothole repairSign repairGuardrail repairHeavy equipment operationsHand rail installationIncident responsePreferred Experience:Roadway maintenance or construction experienceMOT CertificationsTraffic controlClean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Knowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work scheduleAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 poundsAbility to operate hand/power toolsSchedule: Full time. 7am-5:30pm. M-Thurs Must be flexible and available to work on-call when required. Day shift & Night shift needed. Salary: Depends on licenses, certifications & experience.
