Inventory Specialist - Short Term Assignment

Overview Alto Inventory Specialists work cross‑functionally across operations, inventory, and other supply chain teams to build a better, more intuitive community pharmacy from the ground up. We focus on challenges that patients, providers, and payers face, and find solutions that optimize experience, transparency, and health outcomes. Responsibilities Ensure all inventory management is performed daily, weekly, and monthly, including vendor check‑in, daily cycle count, drug put‑away, ancillary organization and ordering, supplies ordering, automation replenishment, invoice reconciliation, variance investigations, recalls, expired medication management, and any required inventory functions specific per site. Analyze on a daily basis to draw insights on actions that need to be taken to meet inventory health goals and recommend new reports and processes to improve inventory management. Support the Pharmacy team front‑line needs as needed. Manage purchasing related tasks for your site or region as required to meet business needs. Minimum Qualifications Currently licensed as a pharmacy technician and in good standing by the Board of Pharmacy. Ability to work with minimal supervision or instruction. Experience using MS Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years experience as a licensed pharmacy technician. Eager to measure and improve accuracy and productivity. Resourceful and have creative ideas on what needs to change in the industry. Enjoy data analysis and are outcome focused. Believes in continuous improvement. Passionate about improving the patient experience. Can make quick and thoughtful decisions. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a constantly changing environment. Communicates clearly and effectively with multiple levels of leadership. Additional Physical Job Requirements Work at a computer terminal for extended periods, move frequently around the pharmacy, stoop, bend, reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions to operate a computer and other pharmacy equipment, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 50 pounds. Effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.
