Job Summary And Qualifications As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) you will perform the critical care and diagnostic procedures utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages. As a member of the patient focused care team you will be responsible for performing basic respiratory equipment maintenance, quality control measures and other administrative or technical tasks. Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment. Perform a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics. Demonstrate competency in proper airway care. Assess patients appropriately, interpret results accurately, and suggest alternative respiratory treatment. Perform routine patient assessment and correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction. Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy, reassessing patients in a timely manner, and maintaining proper and accurate documentation. Communicate regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation obtained within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (NBRC-RRT). State licensed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State). Associate Degree.
