Carpenter PositionSkillforce is currently searching for reliable and safety-oriented Carpenters for various projects across the Clinton, IA area. As a Carpenter you would work to install structures and fixtures, construct building frameworks, and lead laborers and other construction helpers to complete work. An ideal candidate would have excellent multitasking and problem-solving capabilities. The Carpenter role also requires collaboration with managers, laborers and clients throughout the project process to ensure deadlines and expectations are met for both the company and the customer.The pay range for this position is $25.00/hour up to $30.00/hour, based on experience.Responsibilities include:Following blueprints and building plans to meet client needsInstall structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, and cabinetsMeasure, cut, and/or shape wood, plastic and other materialsConstruct building frameworks, including floors, walls, trusses, and door framesHelp erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranesCollaborate with or direct laborers and other construction helpersRequirements:High school diploma, or equivalentA minimum of 5-years experience and/or training in construction; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals, project plans and specificationsAbility to perform math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fraction and decimalsValid driver's licenseBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
