Number of Vacancies: TBD Area of Consideration: Open to the Public Employment Status: Part -Time, Temporary Pay Plan, Series & Grade: ES0000/0000/01 Salary Range: minimum $1,400 per credit hour Closing Date: Open Until Filled Location: 4200 Connecticut Ave, NW Washington, DC 20008 Brief Description Of Duties The University of the District of Columbia seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. UDC is a public, urban, land-grant HBCU committed to accessible, high-quality education and preparing students to serve diverse communities in the District of Columbia. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Teach assigned BSW courses (e.g., practice, policy, HBSE, research, Practicum).> Deliver instruction aligned within CSWE competencies and program learning outcomes. Support student learning through inclusive, culturally responsive teaching. Provide timely grading, feedback, and communication. Maintain course records and adhere to BSW program and university policies. Participate in required orientations and program meetings as needed. Minimum Job Requirement Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program. Minimum two years of post-MSW professional experience. Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations. Information to Applicant Condition of Employment: Temporary employment may be ended at anytime with or without cause. Collective Bargaining Unit: Dependent upon certain criteria, this position may be eligible for representation and require payment of union fees through direct payroll deduction.
