Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Supervises and coordinates with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care for fragile newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patient conditions by collecting and analyzing pertinent health data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and families, to coordinate care.
• Educate families and staff on neonatal health, treatments, and ongoing care requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff and coordinate their activities to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from an approved vendor.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience working in an intensive care or neonatal unit preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
