Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care has been delegated
• Support nursing leadership in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Monitor and maintain competency of clinical staff within the unit
• Manage resources appropriately as they relate to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Emergency Room clinical experience required
• Ability to complete Point of Care training and Restraint competency testing prior to or upon start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department setting
• Familiarity with emergency nursing protocols and triage procedures
