Make a meaningful impact by supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. This contract opportunity, available immediately through the end of the school year, is perfect for dedicated professionals passionate about fostering academic and behavioral growth in diverse learning environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working in high school settings preferred
- Proven skills in applying ABA methodologies to instructional and behavioral plans
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to varying student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) using ABA principles
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive classroom experiences
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and thorough records on student performance and behavior
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student growth
- Foster a positive and safe classroom environment where all students can thrive
