About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for EEO and Compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing system-wide leadership in civil rights compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal and state laws related to equal employment opportunity, nondiscrimination, and sex-based misconduct. This role requires significant professional judgment and strategic expertise in managing issues with potential legal and reputational impact. The Executive Director will also be tasked with overseeing the design, execution, and effectiveness of internal controls, managing talent engagement activities, and serving as a liaison to various government entities. Essential functions include serving as the Title IX Coordinator, overseeing the production and dissemination of compliance-related data, managing investigations of discrimination complaints, and developing and implementing training programs for staff and students. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years' experience in a compliance-related area, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. Experience in higher education and a large, urban, or multi-campus institution is preferred. The role demands a professional with a strong background in civil rights compliance, including experience in policy development, implementation, and training. The ideal candidate will have a valid Texas Driver License, advanced certification in Title IX or workplace investigation, and proficiency in MS Office programs, information management systems, and budget management. Key competencies include the ability to champion change, think entrepreneurially, drive results, and attract and develop talent. The Executive Director will be expected to work in a general office environment and may be required to work after hours, including weekends and holidays.
