Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of newborns while supporting maternal health. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and promote positive birth experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care in accordance with established protocols, policies, and standards.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN doctors, pediatricians, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, responding to any complications during labor and delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, procedures, and outcomes.
• Assist with deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation and post-delivery care.
• Float to MS, ICU, and ER as needed to support hospital staffing and patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid state registered nurse license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric nursing experience.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) with flexibility for occasional float to different units.
• Experience with block scheduling and unit scrub color preferred.
• Current license in Kansas or a compact state.
