Lead Maintenance TechnicianSuwanee Plant - Suwanee, GA 30024OverviewSalary Range $32.42 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift 2nd ShiftDescriptionWe are on the search for an hourly 2nd shift Lead Maintenance Technician and Leadhand for our growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. This role will be a Shift Lead hand.Highly experienced Maintenance Technicians who have demonstrated the ability to plan and perform the repair and maintenance of building structures and all plant equipment without direction, this includes the ability to read electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, Pneumatic schematics and blueprints. Should be proficient in sourcing information to complete the job.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance experienceReading and interpreting drawings and written instructionsPerform Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment in the manufacturing process. Suggest and execute countermeasures to repair or prevent future downtime when possible.Capable of using most measuring instrumentsWork closely with Maintenance Manager and Safety Manager to assist in auditing equipmentParticipate in Continuous Improvement activities as neededFork Truck driving, use of scissor lifts and boom lifts is required; experience is recommendedModifying of equipment, carts, tools, or anything pertaining to manufacturing as neededAssisting the Maintenance manager on a as needed basis which includes but not limited to Preventative Maintenance activitiesGeneral clean-up activitiesMust be able to read and speak EnglishMaintain proper documentation of work (Work orders, PM check sheets, Usage of parts)Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and lift 50 pounds on occasionMust be available for Monday through Friday shift work and overtime as neededMachining and welding experience is a plusThis position will also act as Leadhand for the 2nd shift Maintenance Team. Qualifications should include:Exceptional leadership skills.Ability to plan work within a work cell and direct the people to accomplish such work efficiently, on schedule and with high quality.Disciplined to assure procedures are properly followed in the work cell.Knowledge and understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing.Capable of effectively training new people and existing people when placing them in a new job in the areas of quality, safety and productivity.Ability to recognize safety hazards and unsafe behaviors.Other duties as assignedAbout Price IndustriesWe are the leading provider of non-residential air distribution products across North America.
