Phlebotomist

Position Summary Phlebotomist at Labcorp – Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY. Work Schedule Monday‑Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm, rotating Saturdays 6:15 am–12:30 pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervisionReliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range $17.75 – $20.00 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO or FTO, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
