Shifts: 12-hour days; every other weekend and holiday


Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with geriatric psychiatric experience for a travel assignment in a Long Term Care facility in Canistota, SD. This role specializes in caring for the elder population, including those with dementia and other behavioral health needs. The RN will work in a post-acute setting providing comprehensive care to patients.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care

• Deliver patient care for an elder population, predominantly those with dementia and behavioral health conditions
• Coordinate with medical aides and other nursing staff during shifts to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Complete skilled and COVID charting primarily on day shifts using Point Click Care (PCC)
• Follow all facility protocols and procedures, particularly in managing psychiatric conditions
• Participate in training and orientation, including shadowing shifts as required

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care

• Valid RN license
• BSN required
• BLS Certification
• Experience in geriatrics or LTC psych preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays as scheduled
