Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulator RN for a critical access hospital, requiring strong orthopedic circulating experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting within the Operating Room department
• General surgery procedures including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, soft tissue mass excisions, hemorrhoid procedures, oncologic surgery, antireflux surgery, and skin grafting
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (9-hour shifts)
• Weekend coverage required one weekend per month (Friday to Monday) plus holidays if needed
• On-call requirement of 10 shifts per month, including 1 weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday 24-hour shifts) and rotating holidays, with call hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM Monday-Thursday
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of current OR experience in a hospital setting required
• Strong circulator experience with orthopedic cases required
• At least 3 months of travel nursing experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Operating Room, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating support for general surgery and orthopedic procedures
• Must work two designated holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of profile submission; no more than 5 days of RTO accepted and no changes permitted after offer or interview
• First-time travelers may be considered with required 3+ months of travel experience
