Registered Nurse(RN) - Urgent Care - Part-time

Job Description Provides nursing process while delivering direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Works as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities Practice (Caring for the Patient): Performs the nursing process across the continuum to provide age- and developmentally appropriate, patient-family‑centered care. Integrates values and language preferences in a culturally sensitive manner. Utilizes clinical decision support tools and resources to identify issues, prioritize care, and adjust plans as needed. Uses appropriate documentation tools to record, measure, and retrieve medical data. Provides patient and family education tailored to identified learning needs. Plans and delivers nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible. Development (Fostering Clinical Knowledge): Engages in lifelong learning to maintain current knowledge and competence. Integrates new knowledge into practice to improve outcomes. Maintains professional records demonstrating competence and learning. Self‑evaluates practice relative to performance, development, resiliency, and goals, and acts to achieve identified goals. Engagement (Engaging and Leading Professionally): Oversees nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel while retaining accountability for quality. Practices ethical standards using the Code of Ethics for Nurses. Maintains therapeutic, professional relationships within appropriate boundaries. Contributes to a supportive, healthy workplace. Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members. Demonstrates leadership through teaching, coaching, and collaboration. Outcomes (Driving Excellent Results): Incorporates evidence and research into clinical judgments, nursing practice, and patient outcomes. Participates in quality and process improvement to enhance workflow and care. Maintains a culture of safety by recognizing hazards, communicating errors, and ensuring equipment is safe. Shows flexibility and commitment during times of change. Qualifications Minimum 12 months of registered nursing experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Graduated from an accredited nursing school. Licensure & Certification Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia or Multi-State through Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of employment, as required by the department. Mandatory Requirements Complete orientation and initial assessment of competency on or before the due date. Complete mandatory education and annual competency assessments per unit and system requirements on time. Attend 75% of staff meetings, if applicable.
