As a Quality Inspector in our Quality function within the Spine division, you'll play a critical hands-on role in ensuring that all purchased, in-process, and finished medical devices meet strict quality, dimensional, and regulatory requirements — helping maintain the highest standards of product safety and reliability for the operating room.What You'll Do:Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components and finished products according to documented specifications, drawings, procedures, and work instructionsConduct label inspections and non-sterile inspections for non-complex implantsAccurately record inspection results in the computerized quality databaseTransact parts in the inventory control system (JD Edwards)Initiate Quarantine Tickets (QTs) for nonconforming product following prescribed proceduresSupport and follow all company policies, procedures, and GMP requirementsMeet established productivity and quality targetsCollaborate with team members while working independently on inspection tasksPerform other duties as assigned to support overall quality assurance goalsWhat You Bring:High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred0–2 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing (medical device experience is a plus)Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprintsBasic knowledge and experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, video measurement systems, and plug gaugesWorking knowledge of GMP compliance for Class II medical devices and ISO 13485 preferredProficient computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and database experienceStrong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal English communication skillsSelf-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a teamWhy VB Spine?
