PRN Nurse OpportunityCommunity Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse to process specimens and provide outpatient medication and treatment services for those with opioid use disorder. In your role as a PRN Nurse, you'll work under the supervision of the Clinic Manager to conduct required testing, maintain the medication inventory, audit records, and assist medical providers in providing a safe place for anyone looking to start their recovery journey with us.As part of our mission to help individuals recover from substance use disorders, you'll thrive in a supportive, engaging, and fulfilling work environment where your contributions are valued.Along the way, we'll invest in your well-being through a benefits package for part-time employees that includes:Paid sick401K retirement plan with matchWe're looking for someone who:Prefers a part-time schedule.Is excited to work in an outpatient setting, much like a doctor's office.Likes to chat—you won't be physically moving patients in this role, but you will be having conversations with them throughout your shiftTo thrive in this role, you must be able to:Administer medications as ordered/prescribed by a CMS medical providerMonitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage, as well as other symptoms related to drug use and mental health concernsObtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samplesProcess point-of-care urine drug screens per company policyPrepare take-home medication (n/a in Montana)Monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversionReport diversion to proper internal authoritiesMaintain accurate client records in company's EHR systemDocument medication errors and respond to adverse medical reactions per company policyArrange temporary incoming and outgoing courtesy dosing clientsDeliver medications to external facilitiesOrder necessary dosing room and nursing-related suppliesMaintain accurate medication inventory recordsAdhere to all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulationsAdminister CPR if necessaryMust be able to collect and process phlebotomy/venipuncture and capillary testing as ordered by provider.Requirements:Licensed LPN or RN in state of employmentCPR Certification RequiredAbility to travel to assigned CMS sitesValid Driver License and Motor Vehicle Clearance (satisfactory driving record for 39 months)Experience in the field of substance use disorders preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of the signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal symptomsDemonstrates accuracy in medication administration and ability to maintain accurate client recordsMust have reliable transportationNotice to Wisconsin Employees:All new hires must provide proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) and Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccinations.In addition, new hires should have a current flu vaccination or be willing to receive one.Medical or religious exemptions for the flu vaccine are permitted.
