Oracle Database Management Specialist (Senior)

Job Description
Work Location: Onsite in Beltsville, MD
\nDuties/Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Ensure the operational reliability, integrity and performance of all production databases. \n
- Perform back-up and recovery of existing databases, performance monitoring, and tuning. \n
- Perform database installations and upgrades and ensure the security of confidential data. \n
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions along with periodic maintenance, fixes, and patches of databases. \n
- Perform analysis of business needs, write reporting requirements, and turn requirements into delivered solutions. \n
- Assist users in writing complex queries and reports. \n
*Education:
\n- \n
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline \n

- Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. \n
*Experience:
\n- \n
- At least seven (7) years of experience in using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems and experience with DBMS internals. \n
- Must have seven (7) years of experience in DBMS systems analysis and programming. \n
- Knowledge of or at least one (1) year of experience in website development meeting accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 (at least Level A and AA) \n
- Strong understanding of Oracle architecture. \n
- Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA, including patching and creating backups using a variety of Oracle methods. \n
- Skilled in database performance tuning using different Oracle tools. \n
- Experience implementing Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and maintaining is required. \n
- Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and updated. \n
- SQL server management studio / administration studio \n
