• Overtime: After 40 hours per week
• Overtime Rate: $90.78/hour
• On-Call Rate: $2/hour (pager)

JOB SUMMARY:

Gunnison Valley Health is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Nursing Manager to oversee patient care, nursing staff, and daily Med/Surg department operations. The manager will collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure efficient clinical operations, staff development, effective resource management, and continuous quality improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise patient care delivery and nursing staff within the Medical/Surgical department.
• Oversee daily departmental operations and ensure efficient clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve patient care quality and outcomes.
• Support staff development, training, and performance improvement.
• Manage departmental resources effectively.
• Promote compliance with clinical standards, policies, and patient safety requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active, current RN license.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• Ability to manage nursing operations and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) background check required.
