Electrical Engineer

To support the Substation Protection & Control team, the fully remote Florida Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee, review, and execute the design of protection and control systems for medium to high-voltage substations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities Lead and review the design of protection and control systems for new and existing substations (15kV-500kV) Develop detailed design packages, including one-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and construction documentation Provide technical oversight on multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality while mentoring junior engineers Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program, preferably with a Power Systems or Controls concentration Professional Engineer (PE) license required 8+ years of experience in substation protection and controls design, including relay system design Proficiency in developing and reviewing high-voltage substation protection diagrams and SCADA/RTU integration Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NESC
