Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized testing and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Implement personalized speech therapy on a one-on-one basis for language, fluency, voice, and swallow therapy.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to develop integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their healing journey.
• Document patient interactions and progress in adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development, remaining informed on innovations within speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
