- Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized testing and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Implement personalized speech therapy on a one-on-one basis for language, fluency, voice, and swallow therapy.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to develop integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their healing journey.
- Document patient interactions and progress in adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development, remaining informed on innovations within speech-language pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based methodologies for treating diverse age groups, with keen insights into developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
- Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adept at modifying treatment approaches to respect and embrace various cultural and language backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation processes.
