Silpa Companies is hiring a Kubernetes Platform Engineer for client engagements that center on production Kubernetes at scale. You will build and harden clusters on EKS, AKS, and GKE; ship platform paved-roads (GitOps, secrets, observability, policy) that internal client teams adopt; and own the operational burden during engagement so client platform engineers can grow into it after handover. Design, build, and harden Kubernetes clusters on EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-managed. Ship GitOps practice on Argo CD or Flux including environment-promotion patterns. Build internal-developer-platform features using Backstage, Port, or comparable. Implement policy-as-code on Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, or equivalent. Harden secrets management using External Secrets Operator with Vault or cloud KMS. Build cluster observability on Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and the client's logging stack. Run capacity and cost management including Karpenter / Cluster Autoscaler tuning. Drive cluster-upgrade cadence with zero-downtime workload migration patterns. Partner with security on workload identity, network policies, and image-supply-chain practice. 5 or more years of platform or infrastructure engineering with at least 3 on production Kubernetes. Production experience with at least one managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE). Hands-on GitOps experience on Argo CD or Flux. Strong Go or Python. Working knowledge of policy-as-code (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, or similar). Authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates located in the Houston, Texas area will be given preference; remote consultants will also be considered. Reliable, secure internet connection and ability to travel to client sites as required by engagement scope.
