Banker - Retail Branch Rockland Trust is a full-service commercial bank and financial services company committed to helping our neighbors reach their financial goals. Job Overview As a Banker at Rockland Trust, you are a key player in the Retail Branch setting, providing exceptional customer service and expert financial guidance to customers throughout the day. You will use your broad range of financial knowledge and communication skills to address customer needs, ensuring each customer receives a positive, caring, and empathetic service experience. Responsibilities Support customer relationship development and transaction processing to assist the bank in meeting its sales and service goals. Open and process all types of accounts, including deposit and loan products, check cashing, balancing cash drawer, performing settlement procedures, and processing withdrawals and deposits for both consumer and business customers within established guidelines. Proactively cross‑sell bank products and services to existing and new customers using current tools and tracking systems. Make qualified referrals to business partners in the areas of investments, mortgage, cash management, etc. Complete the Home Equity application process with customers, communicate and follow up on application requirements, and complete the closing process. Answer routine and complex questions concerning customer accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; troubleshoot customer issues. Maintain a solid foundation of product knowledge by taking advantage of the bank’s resources, including ATM, Online Banking, and Mobile Banking. Utilize the Salesforce platform for customer interactions, conversations, and record‑keeping. Represent Rockland Trust by establishing meaningful roots in the communities. Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security policies and procedures while balancing customer relationships and risk of loss to the bank. Qualifications Minimum 1 year sales experience in a financial or retail environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions to problems. Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members. Ability to work within normal office requirements, including long periods of standing and continuous customer support. Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate. Ability to successfully complete the bank’s training program.
