Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a NC or compact RN license and prior ICU experience.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed ICU/CCU unit within a 137-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population includes all ages with common diagnoses such as respiratory failure
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call required as needed
• Floating required with a ratio of 1:6
• Uses Cerner EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIHSS
• 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• High acuity experience preferred
• Education, licensure, and certification required to work as an RN in North Carolina

Additional Information

• Hospital is a Joint Commission Accredited Primary Stroke Center offering cardiology, ortho, ophthalmology, general surgery, OB/GYN, ED, gastro, hospitalist, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care services
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs may be any color, no casual attire permitted
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
