Security Guard

Responsibilities Monitor and control access to the corporate office building, warehouse, parking areas, and restricted spaces. Verify identification and issue visitor badges according to company procedures. Conduct regular patrols of all floors, stairwells, lobby areas, parking facilities, and exterior grounds. Inspect doors, alarms, cameras, and access control systems to ensure proper operation. Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or security breaches. Monitor CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, and security monitoring platforms. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily security reports. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations. Assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies, including fire alarms and medical incidents. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary. Provide basic first aid or CPR if certified and required. Greet employees and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Provide directions and assistance to guests and vendors. Enforce company policies and security procedures respectfully and consistently. Support workplace safety initiatives and corporate compliance standards. Ensure confidential information and sensitive areas remain protected. Participate in security drills, training sessions, and ongoing safety programs. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Prior security, law enforcement, military, or corporate security experience preferred. Valid state security license or ability to obtain one. Strong observation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
