The Manufacturing Manager – Advanced Glass Fabrication Float Line is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing, stabilizing, and scaling operations on a high volume, continuous manufacturing line.This role is ideal for a hands on manufacturing leader who thrives in complex, high temperature, 24/7 environments and is motivated by building strong systems, disciplined execution, and high performing teams.Why this role mattersThis leader will:Play a defining role in launching and stabilizing an advanced glass fabrication lineSet the operational standards, culture, and performance expectations for the lineDirectly influence yield, throughput, safety, and long term reliabilityBuild and develop a supervisory team capable of sustaining world class performanceSuccess in this role will directly impact customer confidence, plant economics, and the long term success of our advanced glass fabrication business.What You Will DoLead Fabrication Line OperationsOwn day to day operations of a 24/7 advanced glass fabrication manufacturing lineDeliver results across throughput, yield, scrap, OEE, safety, quality, and on time deliveryDevelop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and business prioritiesEnsure strong shift to shift communication and operational transparencyLead, coach, and develop a team of technical professionals, supporting the execution of a 24/7 operations teamDrive Process Control & Continuous ImprovementLead, sustain, and coach Statistical Process Control (SPC) across critical process parametersLead structured problem solving using DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysisImprove process capability (Cp/Cpk), reduce variation, and stabilize line performanceLead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives focused on yield improvement and scrap reductionOwn Quality PerformanceEnsure consistent compliance with product specifications including: Dimensional accuracy / Hole placement / Stress, distortion, and optical requirementsPartner closely with Quality and Engineering to develop control plans and preventive systemsEnsure traceability, documentation, and audit readiness across the processImprove Throughput & Equipment EffectivenessIdentify and eliminate bottlenecks through line balancing and data driven analysisImprove OEE through downtime reduction and preventive maintenance coordinationCollaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and automationPartner closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues quicklyBuild & Lead High Performance TeamsBuild, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams in a 24/7 environmentSet clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for resultsDevelop internal capability in SPC, continuous improvement, and operational disciplineFoster a culture of ownership, urgency, and data based decision makingChampion Safety & ComplianceLead a strong safety culture in a high temperature, heavy equipment manufacturing environmentEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulationsProactively identify hazards and implement effective mitigation strategiesWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first 18–24 months, this leader will:Involvement in development and management of fabrication operations and establish consistent, predictable performanceImplement robust SPC systems and process capability standardsDeliver measurable improvements in yield, scrap, and equipment effectivenessDevelop a capable supervisory team that can sustain resultsEstablish a strong safety culture and operational discipline across all shiftsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Manufacturing leadership experience in a high volume continuous industrial manufacturing environment or highly automated process environmentProven success improving yield, throughput, and OEEExperience leading shift supervisors and technical engineering capabilities in a manufacturing operationAbility to translate data into clear priorities and actionWhat Will Put You AheadExperience in glass manufacturing, automated manufacturing lines, or other continuous processes.Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)Understanding of lean concepts to help drive the team, statistical analysis and a structured to problem solving, leading RCAs and guiding decision makingManufacturing leadership experience building high performing operations teams.Why Join UsOpportunity to build and shape an advanced glass fabrication operationHigh visibility and meaningful ownershipLong term growth platform tied to U.S. advanced glass fabrication expansionWork with a team committed to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvementIf you are a manufacturing leader who enjoys complex challenges, values disciplined execution, and wants to make a lasting impact in renewable energy manufacturing, we’d like to hear from you.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
