Medical Patient Administrative Assistant

This position is responsible for managing patient and legal requests for file reviews. Tasks include pulling and redacting healthcare records and facilitating record reviews and releases. This is a high-volume role, with requests often amounting to between 40-50 each month. The MPAA is also responsible for scanning records into the medical chart. This requires approximately 400 scans per week. In addition, this position provides support for approximately 12 clinicians. Several other administrative tasks will also be performed. Coverage during vacancy attempts have included a combination of off-site staff and on-site clinicians. The volume of work needed under the existing coverage model has impacted the ability to provide adequate patient care. The workload has been too high to be sufficiently managed by off-site staff.
