About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Open Heart Recovery, Telemetry Cardiac, Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac step-down, heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open-heart patients, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients. - Experience with Open-Heart procedures and Epic EMR. - Comfort providing care to ventilated patients if necessary. Description: The Registered Nurse will work 36 hours per week on night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The Nurse will typically work every third weekend and cover one holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing needs. There is no on-call requirement; however, the Nurse may be asked to take a rare call day during times of fluctuating census or staffing. Floating to other units may be required during low volumes or coverage crises, although this is not expected. While ventilator patients are rarely admitted to this unit, the Nurse may be required to care for a ventilated patient if patient needs and staffing require it. Qualified candidates will be considered based on their experience and current certifications.
