Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensures the safety and well-being of both mother and infant through skilled clinical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and interventions during labor and delivery.
• Assess the physical and emotional needs of patients and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical assessments and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred.
• Travel experience and EMR familiarity (Meditech) preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Ability to work every other weekend shift, 12-hour days.
• Must have at least two supervisory references and copies of relevant certifications.
