Job Description

Chili John's of California is looking for an experienced, hardworking, and passionate Line Cook to join our team. We are not a typical restaurant. We take pride in preparing nearly everything from scratch, including our sauces, dressings, chili recipes, and house specialties. Our commitment to quality means using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to deliver exceptional food to every guest.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
Set up and stock cooking stations before service.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Monitor food quality, temperatures, and presentation.
Assist with inventory, prep work, and kitchen organization.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Qualifications

Previous line cook experience preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented attitude with a passion for quality food.
