Non‑IT Goods / Cal‑Card Analyst Department of Social Services – California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Job ID: JC‑518729 Classification: Analyst I / Analyst II (Analyst II salary range $6,031.00–$7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates hired at minimum salary or alternate range). Hybrid work: Two days in office, three days telework. Responsibilities Analyst II: Independently performs complex technical and analytical work for the Purchasing and CAL‑Card section; conducts research; writes and presents special reports; leads and participates in special projects; mentors new staff; provides customer service to CDSS programs and outside vendors; serves as subject‑matter expert for non‑IT goods procurement. Analyst I: Performs entry‑level technical and analytical work for the Purchasing and CAL‑Card section; conducts research; writes and presents special reports; participates in special projects; supports senior staff; offers customer service to CDSS programs and outside vendors; serves as entry‑level analyst for non‑IT goods procurement. Minimum Requirements Educational and experiential requirements as specified in the Classification Specification. Eligibility to reside in California upon appointment. Eligibility for hybrid work under Governor’s Executive Order N‑22‑25. Minimum qualifications include experience in procurement, research, and report writing appropriate to the classification.
