Our collaborative approach allows us to provide trusted guidance and high-quality service while helping shape the future of surveying.As a Survey CAD Design Associate, you will support a variety of surveying projects by preparing detailed survey drawings, plats, maps, and exhibits using CAD and ORD software. Working closely with surveyors and project teams, you'll interpret survey data, field notes, legal descriptions, and project requirements to develop accurate, high-quality deliverables that support project objectives. This role requires the ability to independently perform complex drafting assignments, maintain QA/QC standards and consistency across project documents, and apply sound technical judgment to meet project needs. As an experienced member of the team, you'll also collaborate with and provide guidance to less experienced staff while helping drive successful project outcomes.QualificationsYou are passionate about:Working collaboratively with others.Having ownership in the work you do.Using your talents to positively affect communities.You bring to the team:Associate degree in Surveying, Drafting, CAD Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.Minimum of eight years of experience utilizing CAD software in a surveying, civil engineering, or related technical environment.Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or other survey-related software.Strong understanding of surveying principles, terminology, development codes and industry standards.Ability to interpret survey records and data, legal descriptions, field notes, and technical specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.#LI-DNPAdditional InformationOlsson specializes in engineering and design, client advisory services, planning, field services, and environmental.
