Daytime Cook
At Oasis Nursing and Rehab of Green Valley we pride ourselves on the exceptional care we provide for both our residents AND our staff. We're currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our growing team!
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to daily menus, recipes, and resident-specific dietary requirements (e.g., low sodium, diabetic-friendly, pureed diets).
Adjust recipes and portions based on dietary guidelines and the number of residents served.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
Communicate with residents, families, and nursing staff to understand and accommodate special dietary needs.
Seek feedback on meals to improve service quality and resident satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and dietary aides to ensure efficient meal service.
Participate in kitchen staff meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:
Previous cooking experience in a healthcare setting, such as an SNF, hospital, or assisted living facility, is preferred.
Familiarity with therapeutic diets, food safety regulations, and food service standards in a healthcare environment.
Strong cooking skills, ability to follow recipes accurately, and attention to dietary restrictions.
Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe certification required
