Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/27/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 27, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a high-acuity Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring CA RN license, BSN, and 2+ years of high-acuity PACU experience.Details\n \n Work in the PACU unit of a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital\n Recover high-acuity patients including kidney transplant, craniotomy, transaortic valve replacement, spine surgery, ICU, and VATS cases\n Provides Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre-Post care\n Patient ratio of 1:2\n Day/evening shifts (3x12 hours), including 0630-1900, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, 1100-2330, or 1300-0130\n Uses Epic charting system\n Must be able to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius\n Requirements\n \n Active CA RN license required at time of submission\n BSN required\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (CCRN and NIHSS preferred)\n Minimum 2 years of experience required\n Inpatient, Level I Trauma Center, and high-acuity PACU experience required\n Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history\n Epic charting experience required\n ICU experience a plus (SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU preferred)\n 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Care for high-acuity surgical and ICU patients recovering from complex procedures including cardiac, neuro, spine, and transplant surgeries\n Previous charge experience preferred\n Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review\n All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract, and RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers\n Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755107.
