Job Description

We’re looking for an Account Executive to join AZIONE’s Beauty, Wellness & Lifestyle team, supporting a portfolio of innovative consumer brands.

This position may be based in New York City or Los Angeles . Our teams follow a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of in-office and remote work.

This is not a traditional publicity role. It’s a strategic, media-driven position for someone who understands how today’s most exciting beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands build relevance across editorial, creator ecosystems, partnerships, affiliate, experiential, and culture.

You have a strong pulse on the evolving beauty, wellness, and lifestyle landscape, from emerging brands and category disruptors to established consumer companies and the trends shaping how people live, shop, discover, and engage with brands.

You know how to translate a product launch, founder story, partnership, campaign, or cultural moment into compelling editorial opportunities that generate meaningful visibility and conversation.

You understand today’s media ecosystem across:

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationships & Account Support

• Serve as a day-to-day client contact with a strong understanding of the tactical execution of account activity.
• Contribute to weekly client calls and participate in in-person meetings alongside senior team leadership.
• Attend and support media briefings, interviews, desksides, press previews, brand activations, events, and other client-facing opportunities.
• Manage timelines, agendas, action items, trackers, and client deliverables with exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Support account teams in managing inbound client requests and vetting media opportunities.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and thoughtful execution.
• Contribute to new business initiatives through brainstorms, research, deck development, and pitch preparation.

Media Strategy & Cultural Storytelling

• Actively pitch across client priorities to consistently secure business and lifestyle features, podcasts, product placement, trend stories, and other meaningful editorial opportunities.
• Develop compelling story angles spanning product launches, founder and executive stories, partnerships, collaborations, consumer trends, brand milestones, and cultural moments.
• Identify and curate relevant editorial and brand partnership targets and opportunities for client projects.
• Support the development of integrated PR campaigns to ensure client objectives are achieved under the guidance of senior team leadership.
• Contribute to media messaging and press material development, ensuring all materials align with client strategy and brand guidelines.
• Draft thoughtful, strategic pitches with SAE, AM, and AD oversight.
• Support the identification and implementation of relevant brand partnerships.
• Monitor the evolving media landscape and proactively surface timely opportunities, trends, and insights for clients and internal teams.

Excellence in Delivery

• Conduct consistent media outreach and facilitate timely interview opportunities, product sendouts, sample requests, messenger and shipping needs, high-resolution image requests, and other media needs.
• Consistently secure a steady rhythm of proactive editorial, partnership, and event integration opportunities across assigned accounts.
• Support and execute launches and larger campaigns from planning through completion to drive meaningful media coverage for clients.
• Maintain and continuously grow relationships with editors, writers, producers, brand partners, influencers, and other relevant industry contacts.
• Review and proofread client agendas, action items, and materials to ensure all touchpoints are accurate, polished, and fully updated with the latest client deliverables.
• Maintain weekly and monthly client recaps and reporting with senior team oversight as needed.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, affiliate platforms, social media trends, consumer behavior, industry developments, and the evolving media landscape, assessing relevance and strategic opportunities for clients.
• Stay current on reporting best practices to help demonstrate the qualitative and quantitative ROI and impact of client campaigns.
• Monitor industry news and trends, proactively sharing relevant insights and opportunities with account teams.
• Anticipate account needs, identify potential issues early, and proactively bring solutions to account leads.
• Maintain and contribute to AZIONE’s database of editorial and industry relationships.

Networking & Relationship Building

• Continuously cultivate relationships across beauty, wellness, lifestyle, consumer, business, and trade media.
• Build and maintain a growing network of media contacts, brand partners, influencers, and relevant industry relationships.
• Develop a reputation as someone who is responsive, collaborative, resourceful, well-connected, and solutions-oriented.
• Actively grow and strengthen AZIONE’s network across the beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and consumer industries.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

• Demonstrate integrity, reliability, responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability across all client and internal work.
• Foster strong collaboration and synergy across PR, Digital, Influencer, Affiliate, and other internal teams.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to Junior Account Executives, Account Coordinators, and interns as assigned.
• Identify and flag potential issues early to the appropriate senior team member.
• Contribute to team-wide conversations and initiatives that support professional development and agency growth.
• Actively recognize and appreciate colleagues, clients, and partners and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and appropriate conduct at all times.

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2+ years of experience in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, consumer PR, media relations, brand communications, or integrated marketing, ideally within an agency environment.
• Experience supporting beauty, skincare, wellness, health, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
• Existing relationships with beauty, wellness, lifestyle, consumer, business, and/or trade media, with demonstrated experience securing meaningful editorial coverage.
• Strong pitching skills and an understanding of what makes a compelling, timely media story.
• Strong instincts for storytelling, trend forecasting, and identifying culturally relevant opportunities.
• An understanding of affiliate commerce, social media, creator ecosystems, and the evolving relationship between earned media and broader brand marketing.
• Exceptional writing, communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-moving priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented with a strong ownership mentality.
