Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, determining their unique needs and establishing a therapeutic approach tailored to them.

  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques and interventions based on identified needs.
  • \n
  • Complete essential documentation, including billing records, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with necessary timelines and administrative protocols.

  • Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans that promote stable functioning for clients in need.
  • \n
  • Create and execute comprehensive discharge plans to facilitate a smooth transition for clients leaving the therapeutic process.
  • \n
  • Maintain strict adherence to all federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, ensuring a high standard of professional ethics.
  • \n
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education, enhancing your skills and keeping up with current trends in mental health care.
  • \n
  • Participate in case consultations and agency meetings, contributing valuable insights and strategies for continuous improvement in care delivery.

  • Complete all licensure and mandatory training requirements to remain compliant and effective in your role.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, families, and adults facing various mental health challenges. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transition issues. Our emphasis on holistic care means you will engage clients in a manner that respects their individual backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance that leads to meaningful progress.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field leading to Licensed Mental Health Therapist status.

  • Current licensure in the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • \n
  • Demonstrated passion for improving access to mental health care and reducing stigma around mental health issues.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in trauma-informed care and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices.

  • Prior experience in a community health setting or non-profit organization is highly desirable.
