Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 09/21/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n 298727 Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse – 10-Bed Unit \n We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) with recent immediate post-open heart recovery experience . Candidates must be able to care for post-operative open heart patients independently from day one. \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n Provide critical care to CVICU and cardiac patients, including post-open heart, PCI, pacemaker, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and other high-acuity cases. \n Monitor and manage patients requiring invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilator support, cardiac telemetry, and advanced critical care equipment. \n Deliver patient-centered care from admission through discharge while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team. \n Serve as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff as needed. \n \n Requirements: \n \n RN degree from an accredited nursing program. \n Current Montana RN license (or eligibility to obtain). \n Recent Critical Care/CVICU experience with immediate post-open heart recovery. \n BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. \n Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and advanced critical care procedures. \n \n About First Connect Health\n \n At First Connect Health , we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency , headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
