Production Assembly - Upholstery Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Upholstery Technician to join our production team. This hands-on position is responsible for assembling and finishing high-quality custom marine seating, panels, and other upholstered components.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good hand-tool skills, and the ability to consistently produce quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Cover, staple, and assemble upholstered pieces for marine interiors.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools to fit, stretch, and fasten upholstery materials.
• Inspect completed products for proper fit, appearance, and overall quality.
• Work independently and as part of a production team to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in marine, automotive, furniture, or similar upholstery is strongly preferred.
• Strong hand-tool skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
• Comfortable performing hands-on physical work, including lifting, bending, reaching, and stretching materials.
• Reliable, positive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• A brief job-related skills and physical-ability assessment may be conducted during the interview to evaluate essential job functions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to safely perform hands-on upholstery and assembly work for the majority of the shift.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Location: Greenville, SC 29605
