Job DescriptionJob Description1 Year SNF Experience as a TX nurse preferredPOSITION SUMMARYThe purpose of your job position is to provide primary skin care to residents in accordance with their care plan along with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility, and as directed by the Medical Director/ Attending Physician and/or the Director of Nursing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConsulting with the Care Planning Team regarding assessment evaluationsEnsuring that all nursing care is provided in privacy and following facility policies.Checking vital signsDressing woundsMaking rounds with physicians when requestedListening to residents and their familiesAddressing questions/concerns of residentsDocumenting residents progress notes in an accurate and detailed fashionAbiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwordsFollowing Infection and Control policies as well as proper hand-washing protocolsReporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediatelyAttending annual facility in-service training programsAttending meetings and serving on committees when requiredCompleting other assignments when requested (such as: backing up LVNs and CNAs)Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
