Travel CVICU RN - Evanston, Illinois

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts included
• No on-call coverage needed

Core Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of recent CVICU experience
• Active IL RN license
• Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic EHR experience preferred
• Demonstrated skill in CVICU-specific therapies (see requirements below)
• Passing EKG test (80% or higher) required
• Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and team focus

Technical Expertise Required:

• CVICU-level management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and advanced thermoregulation
• Care for CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, LVAD/RVAD, pre/post cardiac cath, valve procedures, post-cardiac surgery, CVVHD/CRRT, and ECMO
• Mastery of arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and IV therapy procedures

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based, high-acuity care to complex cardiac and vascular patients
• Manage specialized equipment (Impella, IABP, LVAD, CRRT, etc.) confidently
• Participate in orientation and may float to nearby allied ICUs as needed
• Collaborate with cardiovascular teams while adapting to dynamic clinical priorities
