What You'll Do The mission of the Regulatory & Compliance Associate is to support BPG’s effort to meet and/or exceed product and customer compliance requirements. The role will manage day‑to‑day tasks associated with the compliance process and interface with key internal and external partners to ensure our products meet all federal, state, and local requirements. The associate will help create and execute best‑practice processes, drive potential compliance issues to root cause, resolution, and develop solutions with the BPG team to prevent recurrence. Regulatory & Compliance Operations Be the subject‑matter expert on product compliance requirements and knowledge of testing protocols. Monitor and analyze regulatory developments relevant to our industry and products. Maintain compliance policies and procedures. Support Product Development team in compliance and safety for new projects. Oversee third‑party testing process to ensure all styles are tested, pass with satisfactory results, and meet applicable requirements. Help troubleshoot and mitigate risks from a compliance and quality/testing perspective. Generate and track regulatory paperwork. Manage document database for test reports, invoices, regulatory documentation (including fragrance house documents), etc. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross‑functional team and external stakeholders. Develop reporting process and rhythm to communicate key metrics and progress. Hold business partners accountable for compliance objectives and commitments. Lead projects as assigned. Label Review Help develop and communicate label requirements to stakeholders in the product label development process to ensure compliance with FDA, FTC, FPL, CPSIA and other standards. Review and approve product packaging for compliance with all regulations. Proofread and approve product labels and instructions. Track legislation/government requirement updates that impact BPG product and label requirements (US/Canada). Customer Compliance Become familiar with customer compliance programs and execute compliance requirements for BPG Company and its programs. Prepare and submit regulatory/compliance reports and filings on time. Ensure supplier and vendor documentation is logged, tracked and communicated to customers as required. Set up and maintain a compliance calendar to track activities. Process and track sample submissions for all product samples throughout the life cycle. Coordinate activities for social, quality, environmental, CTPAT, fire safety and ethics audits. Monitor corrective action follow‑ups and filings of associated documentation. Coordinate customer product testing with third‑party laboratories. Liaise with sales on new product and new customer setup on compliance platforms such as UL WERCSmart. Monitor customer quality programs for changes in requirements regarding compliance, fines, and system changes. Create best‑in‑class process for managing customer compliance requirements and ensuring execution. Monitor compliance email box. Assist with development, update, revision and management of safety data sheets for each product and retailer per applicable requirements. Continuous Improvement Proactively recommend ideas or procedures that solve problems, expand capability, improve performance and eliminate bottlenecks. Collaborate in the development of work instructions, SOPs and/or policies. What We’re Looking For College degree: BS/BA in Chemistry, Engineering or a relevant field is a plus. 2‑3 years of experience in a regulatory and/or compliance‑focused role. Knowledge of basic office management systems and procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Office 365). Target Compliance expertise is a plus. Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus. Reliable and detail‑oriented with patience and professionalism. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Multitasking aptitude. Proactive problem solver. Important Information Occasional domestic travel is required. Applicant must be able to move freely throughout retail environments and partner manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Visual acuity (corrected) to proof‑read artwork, read directions and drawings and inspect products. Able to lift 35 lbs independently. Must be able to stand, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods. Hybrid role requires minimum 2 days in office; up to 3 days remote per week.
