As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to deliver individualized, play-based therapy across two dynamic pediatric settings .

Settings:

• EIDT (Early Intervention Day Treatment): Working with children 6 weeks to 6 years old in a structured, team-based environment
• Outpatient Pediatric Clinic: Serving children and adolescents up to age 21

Schedule: Part-time or full-time opportunities available

License Requirement: Active COTA license

Your Role in Action

This is a hands-on, highly interactive role where creativity and adaptability are key. You'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and developmental needs across both settings.

In this role, you will:

• Provide 1:1 play-based therapy sessions to children with developmental delays, sensory processing needs, autism spectrum disorders, and other diagnoses
• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising OT , focusing on fine motor skills, visual motor integration, sensory regulation, and daily living skills
• Use creative, child-led activities (sensory play, crafts, obstacle courses, structured routines) to promote engagement and progress
• Support development of self-care skills such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting readiness
• Apply sensory integration strategies to improve attention, behavior, and participation
• Collaborate closely with teachers and staff in the EIDT setting to integrate therapy into the child's daily routine
• Educate and partner with parents/caregivers to support carryover at home
• Monitor progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
• Complete electronic documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team (OT, PT, SLP) to provide comprehensive care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment

• Working with younger children (6 weeks-6 years) in EIDT and a broader age range (up to 21) in outpatient
