Classroom Teacher

Job Summary The Classroom Teacher is responsible for creating a faith-filled, nurturing, and academically enriching classroom environment. This role supports the mission of Catholic education by fostering students’ spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social growth during this critical early elementary year. Job Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for in religion, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Integrate Catholic teachings, Gospel values, and prayer into daily lessons, routines, and classroom activities. Create a nurturing, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment that supports young learners’ academic and social development. Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs and abilities. Foster positive behavior, responsibility, and respect consistent with Catholic values. Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction to support student growth. Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and school activities. Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student success and spiritual formation. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required. Valid teaching certification. Practicing Catholic; must support and be committed to the mission and values of Catholic education. Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
