Anesthesia Tech

Duration: 52 weeks Address: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642 Schedule: Day Shift 5*8s 40hours/week

Shift: 1:30 PM10:30 PM

Call/Weekend/Holiday: Required as needed, including callback

Contract: 1 year ONLY

Experience: 2 years as an Anesthesia Tech

Certification: BLS required

Preferred: Anesthesia Tech certification; 2- or 4-year college education with related technical training

Responsibilities:

• Prepare anesthesia equipment, monitors, medications, and supplies.
• Assist with difficult intubations and central line placement.
• Operate cell-saver machines and support cardiac, transplant, vascular, thoracic, and trauma cases.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and related devices.
• Assist with staff training and operating room setup.
• Support procedures outside the OR and provide shift supervisor backup.

Skills:

Two (2) Year's Experience highly desired

BLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
