Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.Primary ResponsibilitiesTrain utility staff on routine tasks related to the operation and/or maintenance of water and/or wastewater treatment facilitiesAssist with maintaining plant compliance with PADEP standards and requirementsEnsure plant safety and sanitary requirementsProvide guidance on how to operate and maintain water and/or wastewater treatment equipmentProvide guidance to treatment and equipment adjustments below-standard variances are detectedDetect and report atypical conditions, such as: damaged, malfunctioning, and tampered meters, detecting and reporting leaks, high/low consumption, exposed wiring, and other safety hazardsAssess, review, and update existing job plans for equipment managementPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience in the operation and maintenance of a water and/or wastewater utilityExperience managing maintenance of assetsThe ability to travel to and from the job site as neededRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentA minimum of 1 years mechanical experienceAbility to read meters, charts and gauges and accurately maintain records of plant operationsAbility to read and comprehend written technical information and to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to review, classify, categorize, prioritize and/or analyze dataAbility to perform mathematical equations to determine chemical doses for flow rates and proper treatmentAbility to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools and/or materials used in performing essential functionsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
