Position Summary:  

The Sales Representative develops new business for DME and builds ongoing relationships with general contractors, builders, and architects to sell and install residential elevators, dumbwaiters, commercial accessibility elevators, and vertical platform lifts for building projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (duties may include, but not limited to)

• Meet or exceed sales goals and key performance metrics.
• Respond promptly to new sales leads to maximize conversion rates.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Initiate the sales process by scheduling appointments, demonstrating products in the Lisle showroom, assessing client needs, and preparing quotes.
• Close sales by building rapport with potential customers, explaining product and service capabilities, addressing objections, preparing proposals, providing sales literature and drawings, and negotiating contracts.
• Complete the internal order process, including entering new orders in the CRM database, creating online customer folders in SharePoint, completing price worksheets, preparing drawing orders, and providing all project details needed. Conduct turnover meetings with Project Coordinators to ensure a clear, concise handoff.
• Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, project management, installation, equipment suppliers, logistics, and accounting teams.
• Maintain and update CRM data, including mailing lists, contact lists, and client information for architects, builders, and related contacts.
• Present the American Institute of Architects (“AIA”) Lunch and Learn program to architects on a regularly scheduled basis.

Required Education & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to four (2–4) years of B2B sales experience in construction, real estate, industrial, electrical, or mechanical fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with CRM databases such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.
• Basic understanding of architectural drawings and building and safety codes.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuitry, wiring, and mechanical systems, including gears, cables, and hydraulics.

Working Environment : 

In-office work environment based in Lisle, IL. Must have a valid driver’s license and use a personal vehicle for sales calls.
