Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bar Lead to join our vibrant restaurant team. This pivotal role combines leadership, operational management, and exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless dining experience. As a Bar Lead, you will support the restaurant’s daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hospitality. Your enthusiasm and management skills will help foster a positive environment where both team members and guests thrive.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and ensuring smooth service flow
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, food handling, POS systems (such as Shift4 POS), Craft Drinks, Bartending, and customer service protocols
- Oversee inventory control, food production, and food safety management to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile registers at shift end
- Support kitchen management by supervising food preparation, cooking processes, and maintaining quality standards in casual dining or fine dining settings
- Lead staff training initiatives including onboarding, ongoing development, and conducting interviews for new team members
- Monitor profit and loss analysis to optimize operational efficiency and contribute to budgeting efforts
Experience
- Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food & bar industry
- Extensive background in restaurant management with expertise in managing hospitality teams and supervising kitchen operations
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Shift4 for order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated ability in managing food safety standards, inventory control, and food production processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, conduct training & development sessions, and communicate effectively with staff at all levels
- Experience in managing shift schedules, conducting interviews, and performing food cost analysis is highly desirable
- Prior casual dining, quick service & fast food restaurant experience or fine dining background is preferred
