#Education & Job Requirements
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent

*4 - 6 years of aircraft painting experience, with documented experience applying advanced finishes.
*Familiarity with aviation painting standards and regulations.
*Demonstrated experience in training/mentoring junior painters and performing quality inspections.

*Proven competence in applying complex paint systems and specialty finishes.
Strong ability to match colors and produce consistent finishes.
*Proficient with advanced spray equipment, mixing systems, and measuring tools (e.g., wet-film/DFT gauges).
*Solid understanding of paint chemistry and how environmental conditions affect application and cure.
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
*Thorough knowledge of inspection methods, quality acceptance criteria, and documentation requirements.
*Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions to correct process issues.
*Strong coaching and communication skills; able to train and lead less-experienced team members.
*Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (environmental and company policies).

*Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering work orders, and paint specifications
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

*Technical certificate in coatings, painting, or related field
*Experience training or mentoring junior painters

#Job Duties & Functions
*Apply complex paint systems, including metallic, specialty, and multi-coat finishes to aircraft structures and components
*Prepare aircraft surfaces through sanding, masking, taping, and priming prior to coating application
*Operate spray equipment and maintain application systems used for coatings and finishes
*Perform touch-up, refinishing, and blending activities to restore surface quality and appearance
*Mix and match paint colors, tints, and coatings to meet specification requirements
*Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and acceptance criteria
*Document painting activities, inspections, and work order completion requirements
*Troubleshoot surface defects and implement corrective actions to resolve process issues
*Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with environmental and safety procedures
*Support continuous improvement initiatives related to painting processes and quality

#Physical Requirements & Environment
*Ability to stand, crouch, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
*Exposure to solvents and airborne particulates requiring strict PPE compliance
*Required use of respirators, gloves, and protective coveralls
*Ability to lift and handle painting materials and equipment within company limits
